It’s the new year and if you’re like me, your sleeping patterns are all messed up. I am generally a pretty light sleeper and struggle to get a good nights rest, so I have tried all sorts of things to help me out. I don’t like to force myself to sleep, instead I try force myself awake. What I mean is that I find it pretty pointless trying to go to bed at a certain time, as I usually spend a lot of time tossing and turning. Rather I go to bed when I simply cannot keep my eyes open and then I force myself up at the same time every day. By forcing myself wake up at that time, I tend to make myself tired enough to fall asleep at a reasonable hour without too much hassle.
Sleep is one of the most important tools for muscle recovery and growth, so try to force your self awake rather than force yourself to sleep method.
